Just Dance- Lady Gaga

This song gets stuck in my head so often, I hate it. But I can see why, with a tune as catchy as that. Musically I love this techno little beat. Lyrically I detest it.
Let's start with lyrics.
With rhymes like "Where are my keys, I lost my phone. What's going out on the floor? I love this record baby, but I can't see straight anymore." it's hard not to hate what could possibly going on in the song writers head. Because I know Gaga and her fake eyelashes don't have the capacity to even do this. Plus the annoying little do-daa-do's. Then later, a rapper I assume to be Akon talks about how somthing is so clean it's "molesto." What does that even mean? Oooo, it's horrible. But so catchy; and with that:
The beat is impecable. It makes me want to dance, rare for a Top 40. Normally it's the emo stuff that gets my blood flowing. If you want a song that's gonna make you shallowly happy, this is it. Don't expect to be inspired and moved with the deep acoustics and lyrics, but you can expect a peppy fun little pop-techno hit. If you like 3OH!3 but could do without the intensity, this is it. I suggest this song, only because it's on the radio. You expect catchy but crappy, fun but... gonna end it there.
0/5 lyrics
4.5/5 music.

Yes Man

I was so excited to see this movie because Zooey Deschanel is without a doubt my favorite actress and Jim Carrey is no doubt one of the funniest actors out there. So I had high expectations. The story line is basically that Carl (Jim Carrey) has to say yes to every opportunity that comes his way. He meets Allison (Zooey Deschanel) and she's already the type of person who's eccentric and different (but not in an obnoxious way). Zooey was absolutely adorable in this movie and was so likeable, but I have to say that I absolutely LOVED Norm. He was hilarious, almost the same as Jim Carrey. This might be the first movie I've seen him in and he made a great first impression. He does the nerdy thing so believably and he was so cute. (: I thought the acting was good, and there were a lot of genuinely funny moments. Stupid, eye-roll moments were actually rare. I was surprised and delighted to see Danny Masterson (Hyde, That 70's Show) again after he's barely been in anything since That 70's Show went off the air. He did a good job, as always, and even though he wasn't on screen much he cracked me up. There were some sad parts, too, and Zooey Deschanel pulled off the vulnerable, little-kiddish thing perfectly. It had a bit of rough language but nothing I cared too much about and even though there were some like sex jokes it was nothing horrible. I wouldn't see it with your parents or anything, but definately see it. Adorable and actually really funny. 8.5/10.
